Welcome to Young Lancashire

Young Lancashire supports and empowers young people, especially those who are most disadvantaged/vulnerable, across Lancashire to live fulfilling lives. We are a 'front-line catalyst' working in partnership and trialling new approaches within clusters of our network of members. This involves driving positive transformation in the youth sector - in the way that services are co-produced by, and delivered for, the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people across Lancashire; learning resultant lessons, and, ultimately, scaling up these new approaches through dissemination and replication across the entire network.

We work in partnership with ONE Lancashire and we provide a range of support services to our members, including lastest news, regular e-bulletins, information and advice, events and specialist support products; for full details see Membership services section below. These products, which are available direct from this website (but are only accessible to members when logged in), include, free policy templates, 1:1 support on funding applications, accredited quality assurance and business plans. Lancashire County Council (LCC) received an unsatisfactory OFSTED inspection last year for its Children’s Services.  This requires certain measures to be put in place to enable continuous improvement prior to the next inspection, as well as scrutiny of progress made, a key requirement of which was the formation of an Improvement Board.
