The next CSRDF meeting is at Chorley Town Hall 3-5pm on Thursday 6 December. Speakers include representatives from both Chorley and South Ribble housing teams who will educate us on grants and support available to disabled people.

More Music: Making New Music

Explore your imagination; discover ways of inspiring others 20 and 21 October 2012. For musicians, teachers, youth workers, composers, and anyone wanting to use music in their work. Led by members of the acclaimed Grand Union Orchestra, sessions will centre on musical traditions including West African chant and drumming, South African township music, UK popular and folk, North Indian classical music, folk music and songs. The intention is not to replicate ‘world music’ styles authentically.

Youngsters invited to "It's your future" event

Young people from Leyland who are not in employment, education or training are invited to a free interactive event next week, where they will be able to look at their future options.

Lancashire conference looking at Domestic Violence in Young People's Relationships

Skelmersdale Action for Youth (S.A.Y ) have secured funding to run the first conference  to look at Domestic Violence in Young People's Relationships to be held in Lancashire with support from multiple agencies in October or November this year. S.A.Y will be contacting all the schools and colleges when they return to their new term to confirm the final dates. We are looking for young people aged 13 to 25 year olds to take part and to make it a multi cultural event we are approaching schools throughout the Lancashire area.

Outdoor Adventure Arts - Summer 2012

Elements Outdoor Arts in association Bluestreak Arts are running activities in Avenham, Grange and Ribbleton Parks throughout August.
They are open sessions run in prominent places in the parks and promise to be lots of creative positive family fun.
Funded by Preston Children's Trust, this programme aims to provide early support for children and families who may need some opportunities to spend positive time together. There is wet weather contingency for most sessions and other venues may be added.
