Training Schedule 2013

Young Lancashire has arranged a series of 12 training events (funded by the LCC Central Gateway Grant) to end of June 2013. These events include: first aid, safeguarding and how to involve young people in your organsiation, plus access to an AQA standardisation training course.

Love Your Tender - 5 December

A highly practical, ‘tried and tested’ course that guides you step-by-step through the procurement process and helps you address the key issues and barriers to ensure you are well positioned to successfully compete for local authority and other contracts. Designed specifically for voluntary organisations working in the children, young people and families sector, this workshop is packed with helpful tips, guidance and practical tools to make sure your organisation is ‘tender ready’ when contract opportunities arise.

Wyre Together

The Wyre Together Conference is taking place on Wednesday 12 December from 2 - 4pm at Thornton Methodist Church. The event will provide an update on the actions of Wyre Together and its uture actions and there will also be talks from:- Social Enterprise Solutions; The Children, Young People and Families Forum and One Lancashire. Chorley and South Ribble Disability Forum Meeting

The next CSRDF meeting is at Chorley Town Hall 3-5pm on Thursday 6 December. Speakers include representatives from both Chorley and South Ribble housing teams who will educate us on grants and support available to disabled people.

More Music: Making New Music

Explore your imagination; discover ways of inspiring others 20 and 21 October 2012. For musicians, teachers, youth workers, composers, and anyone wanting to use music in their work. Led by members of the acclaimed Grand Union Orchestra, sessions will centre on musical traditions including West African chant and drumming, South African township music, UK popular and folk, North Indian classical music, folk music and songs. The intention is not to replicate ‘world music’ styles authentically.
