Understanding how gender impacts on young people.

Informed by the evaluation and feedback of the succesfull LGBT Conference For Youth - Stand Up for Us - earlier this year, LGBT Youth North West, in partnership with Young Lancashire, are hosting a follow up workshop on Thursday 19 July, from 9:30am - 12:00pm at CVS, Guildhall Arcade, Preston.

This workshop will explore the language, common misconceptions and pitfalls associated with with Trans Awareness. It will allow participants to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to approach Trans issues, particularly when working with young people.

This workshop is open to anyone currently working or volunteering with children or young people and is can be offered free of charge as it is fully funded by Lancashire County Council's Central Gateway Funding.
