An exciting opportunity has arisen for the sector to work collaboratively to meet the emotional health and self esteem needs of children and young people in Preston. Following on from The ONE (Open Network Event) in January 2010 and as part of Third Sector Lancashire’s Change Management Programme, Young Lancashire is looking expressions of interest from groups who wish to work as a consortia or partnership to deliver the following service

The new service will potentially consist of work around:

·         Identifying warning signs
·         Elements of tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 work
·         Focus however on prevention
·         Transition work
·         Resilience and coping
·         Some elements to be delivered within the school setting
·         Identifying new ways of working around emotional health
·         Family mediation and engagement
·         Links with SEAL being delivered in school
·         Engagement of the VCFS as full partners
·         Links with the statutory sector
·         Work with homeless young people

Lancashire County Council’s advance notification emphasises the commissioning model will be developed via a consortium or partnership bid with one lead agency and delivery through key partners. Young Lancashire aims to co-ordinate on behalf of the sector a consortium or partnership bid, through using the Change Management Programme to facilitate its development. If you are interested please send your full contacts details, name of organisation and services offered, by email to Rebecca Steel Change Management Officer.
