Funding Opportunity for East and West Lancashire Groups- Grassroots Grants for 3rd Sector Groups

2010-11 is the third and final year of Government funding for the Grassroots Grants programme. Projects must be completed and money spent by 31 March 2011.
There will be one further funding round in both East and West Lancashire. Applications are due in:
·     East Lancashire by 02 September 2010.
·     West Lancashire as soon as 25 applications have been received as there is only a very small budget left. 
  Applicants in West Lancashire are urged to get their applications in as quickly as possible. 
  Key Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
·     Be a third sector voluntary or community group operating or living locally in Lancashire County (excluding Blackburn with Darwen).
·     Be not-for-profit.
·     Have been active in their local community at least 12 months prior to the round's closing date.
·     Have an income of less than £30,000 per year, taken as an average over the last three years.
·     Be connected with and/or meeting the needs of their local community.
·     Be volunteer led.
·     Have a governing document that has as a minimum: the name, aim/purpose, objects, a dissolution clause for the organisation, a list of Trustees/Committee members, and Trustees'/Committee members' signatures.
 
Groups and organisations do not have to be registered charities to apply.
Maximum Value: £ 5,000
Minimum Value: £ 250
