Help from NCVYS to access funding from the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA)

We have picked up from some of our regional contacts that training providers in the sector are finding it difficult accessing the Skills Funding Agency (SFA) and Young People’s Learning Agency (YPLA).
Isabelle King will be attending a Third Sector National Learning Alliance event in September, to discuss these concerns and the possibility of developing a national bid for the VCS to be able to tap in to these funds. For a number of years now, NCVYS has been supporting the lobbying activities to gain  funds for training providers in the VCS  and will continue to do so. Please let Isabelle have your issues and concerns so she can raise these.  Email Isabelle@ncvys.org.uk

Helpline - In the meantime, if you need any help, then the Third Sector National Learning Alliance has launched a telephone support service for third sector organisations to help with the transition from the LSC to the successor agencies (SFLA & YPLA). Do you have a question about the transition arrangements? Do you have a particular issue that you want advice on relating to the new system for managing and funding learning and skills? Want help to clarify the implications for your organisation of these changes? Then call 01225 792500 and ask for the TSNLA helpline.  http://www.tsnla.org.uk/content/lsc-third-sector-transition-support-resource
