Speaking Out small grants

This joint project, between the National Council for Voluntary Youth Services (NCVYS) and Children England, sets out to build a voice for the children and young people’s voluntary and community sector across Government. It is part of a strategic partnership with the Office of the Third Sector within the Cabinet Office, with extended funding until 2011. The project will give up to £1000 to youth voluntary organisations and communities that are members of NCVYS or Children England, in order to start new projects or extend established ones.

The panel will be looking for projects that demonstrate the contribution of the children and young people’s voluntary sector, particularly work that raises the voice of those that are less often heard. Amongst other factors they will be looking at groups that are at risk as a result of the recession and other deprivation factors.  The Application deadline is 12 noon on 22 January 2010. To apply and for further information please contact Rhiannon  Jones at speakingout@ncvys.org.uk or Natalie at natalie@childrenengland.org.uk
