NHS East Lancashire is keen to get as much information as possible from people who use local pharmacy servicesThis is because the Health Act 2009 requires Primary Care Trusts to review all aspects of pharmaceutical services provided in local communities. This is called a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).
Please note that we are currently seeking the views of residents of Hyndburn as a pre-consultation exercise. The outcome will be used to inform a full public consultation which will take place between October and December 2010 (when the materials and the questionnaire will be sent out to the whole of East Lancashire).
If you have any concerns or suggestions about the accessibility and understandability of the materials, your views will be used to shape the public consultation.
Alternatively, should you reside in Hyndburn or know people who do and who use local pharmaceutical services, your completed questionnaire(s) would be very welcome (by email or via the FREEPOST address shown on the front of the questionnaire).
Should you not reside in Hyndburn, you will receive the questionnaire as part of the full public consultation at a later date.
Further copies of the questionnaire are available on request – call (01282) 644718/644724.
The timescale is a little tight – views are sought on this initial pre-consultation exercise by 31 August 2010 please.
