UK Youth has announced today (1st August 2017) a new ‘Digital Hubs’ opportunity for Members. Based on a digital heat map parts of Lancashire (Preston, Burnley and Blackburn in particular) have been identified as areas where there is a strong likelihood of digital exclusion. As result UK Youth has secured funding from the Nominet Trust for interested groups to set up a Digital Hub. Successful Groups will be provided with technology, resources and training (circa £4,000-£5,000 worth) to run basic digital skills programmes in their region to those young people who lack the access or skills be digitally included. If you are interested, visit UK Youth Digital Hub EOI (the closing date has been extended a week).
