Is for every young person to become a positive force for change in their own life and the lives of others whatever their background or circumstance.
Is to provide young people with the tools they need for life, work and a better future, and, to enable our members to achieve the highest standards of practice and effectiveness in their work by building their capacity to deliver quality work for young people.
To research and pilot a range of new youth projects, in partnership with members and the University of Cumbria, and other educational establishments,
To develop new volunteering projects for young people, in partnership with members and funders,
To support members and groups through:
- A new website to promote relevant information for the youth sector in Lancashire and provide new opportunities for members and the education sector to access a range of informal education and activity based resources,
- Providing organisational support including funding advice,
- Providing/supporting training for the sector,
- A new membership structure, aligned to the website and new projects.
To Expand our network to include more adults who share our values for young people’s development, in order to create stronger more cohesive communities in which young people can thrive, and,
To continue to liaise and work with LCC and other relevant organisations such as the Regional Unit (Youth Focus NW) on financial and policy issues that support work with young people
