About us Governance Governance Young Lancashire is a registered Charity established in 1923 and a company limited by guarantee, governed by a Memorandum and Articles of Association, since 1986. A board of trustees oversees the work of the Charity, meeting regularly throughout the year and we report annually to both the Charities Commission and Companies House. Trustees are ultimately responsible for the direction of the affairs of the Charity, making sure it is solvent and well run and delivering the charitable objects for the benefit of the public for which it was established. We hold an Annual General Meeting in the autumn at which members elect the Board of Trustees. The Board currently consists, twelve trustees, including three honorary officers; Chairman, Treasurer and Solicitor. To see the current Board of Trustees visit: Board of Trustees.
